Performing Arts Showcase

It's an event that gives all Forest Hill students an opportunity to perform in front of a live audience. They could dance, sing, act, do stand-up comedy, perform martial arts, magic, play a musical instrument, perform gymnastics, hula-hoop, jump-rope, and so on.

All Forest Hill students are welcome!
Each student can perform at most 2 shows – Once as a solo and / or as part of a group.
All 4th and 5th graders can also sign up to MC (i.e. welcome the audience, announce acts, close show, help out back stage, etc.). Note MC and performer are independent roles. Students can sign up for either or both roles.

All performers & MCs must arrive at 3:30pm to check in. Late performers / MCs cannot be accommodated. -
There is a $25 participation fee per family of performers. Please reach out to the PTA treasurer if you need PTA assistance.

Content Acceptance
The performance is a maximum of TWO minutes in length for each show.Bring final music on a CD or USB drive at tryouts if the shows have music. It must have a printed lyric sheet for the song. Please make sure lyrics are appropriate. Elementary age appropriate songs and content please. We have the right to reject content if not appropriate. We will be downloading your music at the tryouts onto a laptop for the final performance.
The venue has carpet on the stage. Please plan your routines accordingly.
Only Forest Hill Students are accepted.
Appropriate Attire (per School Policy):
Clothing with printed vulgarities and/or drug and alcohol-related themes are not acceptable. Gang-related apparel (as defined in the Student Handbook) is not to be worn. Skin-tight apparel, excessively baggy apparel, short shorts, bare midriffs, mini skirts and loose-fitting tank tops are not appropriate.Expected Behavior (per School Policy):
Students are expected to respect the rights of others, follow school rules, not use actions, words and/or gestures which denote disrespect. Students are expected to be respectful, responsible and safe. -
There is a $25 participation fee per family of performers. This will go towards covering the cost of the venue rental and professional. Please reach out to the PTA Treasurer if you need financial assistance.
