PTA Funded Programs
Assemblies
A portion of the PTA funds support our Educational Assembly Programs. Scientists, historians, artists, musicians, storytellers and a variety of entertainers visit our school to enrich our academic program.
Art with Mrs. Cheng
We have an incredible art program run by Mrs. Cheng. Each classroom gets to learn different types of art mediums and explore their creative side.
Lunchtime Garden Crafts
The School Garden is open during lunch time once a week for kids to do crafts and activities within the garden.
Lunchtime Origami Club
Once a week, during lunch, kids are welcome to come and learn and try their hand at the art of Origami.
Project Cornerstone
This is a countywide anti-bullying program sponsored by the YMCA and is aimed at supporting the healthy social development of all children and youth. Parent volunteers at Marshall Lane are actively involved in the ABC (Asset Building Champions) Reader program. Once per month, the ABC Parents read a book to their child's class and present an activity with the teacher's assistance.
Living Classroom
Returning this year to Forest Hill. Living Classroom's mission is to inspire children to learn about and value the natural world through garden-based education. Our TK-8th grade lessons teach environmental literacy through hands-on garden based lessons in edible and native gardens cultivated at each school.
Scholastic Magazine
The PTA provides the funds to support the use of scholastic magazines in each classroom.
Field Trips
Each grade level has the opportunity to go on field trips throughout the year.
